Stuart broad bowled England's third best Ashes bowling figures in the history of English cricket. Stuart has taken 8 wickets by giving just 15 odd runs in his 9.3 overs spell, he also bowled 5 maidens in that spell of the fourth test's 1st innings. The Nottingham paceman also becomes the fifth bowler to pickup 300 wickets in test for his country & it just took him 19 balls to accomplish that, he took 5 for 6 in his starting 19 balls of the ashes fourth test match and it is also the fastest 5 wickets haul in the test match beating south Africa's vornen philander who took 25 balls vs new Zealand at capeTown in January 2013 to achieve that. Broad was playing his 83rd test of his carrier, he took 2 wickets in his first over but it was just the beginning, next he took 1 wicket each in his 2nd and 3rd over. Australian captain Michael Clarke became broad's fifth target by slashing the first ball of broad's 4th over at slips in the safe hands of England's captain Alastair cook. Playing in his home ground, broad dismissed Mitchell starc to complete his 300 wickets milestone followed by Mitchell Johnson and Nathan Lyon to wrap up Australian innings for 60 runs. Broad equals Fred Trueman by taking 307 test wickets, he also join's his fellow teammate James Anderson (who missed out 4th test due to side injury) in 300 club of England. Anderson who reached 300 mark in 2013 is currently England's leading wicket taker.
