"Google hosted an event in San Francisco, California yesterday 29 September as stated earlier to launched their much awaited Nexus devices & the company also showcase their other products including a new Pixel C tablet."

Event Highlights

• The next generation nexus devices are named as Nexus5X and Nexus6P respectively in which nexus 5X gets .2 inchs of screen size increase but nexus 6P gets a cut of .3 inch in screen size as compared to last year phones. This year nexus played Apple's game by not messing with the device name but added a alphabet to represent it differently, but Google has bumped up the internals as well as the externals of the phones. It looks like the company could use these Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 series also in the future and could use initials just like this year.

• Google has introduced a new tablet but this time its don't fall under nexus series but gets kicks off a new Pixel series, the tablet dubbed as Pixel C is said to be a direct competition for earlier launched iPad pro and Microsoft surface.

• This year google focused more on Chromecast by launching new Chromecast unit, Chromecast Audio and Chromecast App which now support google photos and Spotify.

• Googleplay music now comes with a Price tag.

• Android latest version Marshmallow 6.0 will be shipped with new nexus devices, pixel C and soon rollout for other existing devices.

Nexus 5X

Made by Korean giants LG, Nexus 5x as the name suggests is a upgraded version of last year Nexus 5 it comes with a Corning Gorilla glass protected 5.2 inch screen with a FHD 1080×1920 resolution, 2GB LP DDR3 RAM, a 1.8 hexa core Qualcomm snapdragon 808 processor, 16gb & 32gb internal storage without sdcard support. The most appealing introduction from google was the 12.3 megapixel camera at the back which is specially designed for low light photography, the F/2.0 aperture camera can record 4K videos and also comes with a slow motion video capture with 120 fps. A fingerprint scanner which works with just a tap on it will unlock the device it will also work with Android pay, Front camera is a 5 megapixel sensor which comes with f/2.0 aperture and HDR+ option for better experience. aperture. It features a 2700mAh battery, with Quick Charge support providing up to 3.8 hours of charge in 10 minutes. It will be available in Carbon Black, Quartz White, and Ice Blue. Overall you get a better experience campared to previous nexus phones with the latest marshmallow offering.

Nexus 6P

Nexus 6P is designed by Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei which is google first attempt of making a nexus device with a Chinese OEM and they have done it in style. The nexus 6P is Google's first full metal body phone which is a upgraded model or you can say the next phone in Nexus 6 line. The phone is crafted from aeronautical-grade aluminum & It comes with a 5.7 inch screen with a 1440×2560 QHD resolution which is protected by Corning's latest Gorilla glass 4, the phone also comes with the same 12.3 megapixel camera like nexus 5x it comes with ability to record 4K videos and also slow motion videos recording with higher fps compared to nexus5x 240 frames per second (fps), the lens has a aperture of f/2.0 & a fingerprint sensor below it, 8 megapixel camera with HDR+ in front for selfies and video calling needs. Pixel C

Pixel C is said to be Google's first device which is entirely built by the company itself and is a attempt to compete with Apple's iPad pro. Pixel C where 'C' stands for 'convertible' is a full aluminum body and features a 10.2 inch display 2560×1800 pixels, the tablet is powered by an octa-core Nvidia tegra X1 processor coupled with 256-core Nvidia Maxwell GPU, 3GB RAM to speedup things and a USB type C port & four microphones that will allow for better Voice Interaction with Android Marshmallow, to make it work like a laptop it comes with a full-size keyboard dock that clips on magnetically and connects via Bluetooth. The keyboard can be magnetically attached to the back of the tablet for storage, and can be charged when tablet is not in use.

Chromecast Devices

Google has announced their two new enties in Chromecast lineup, chromecast 2 and chromecast audio are the next generation Chromecast devices, Chromecast 2 is now has more ports for plugging it to the TV like a HDMI port. It also comes with the latest WiFi connectivity support which will allow better experience with less buffering and it also comes with two new colors lemonade and coral, in addition to black.

Google also revealed Chromecast Audio, a small device which can be plugged into any speakers to stream audio over WiFi networks just like Chromecast. It supports several apps like Spotify, Pandora and Google play music.

Google Apps

Google also revealed some apps that are updated with new features Google photos, Googleplay music and Chromecast app.

• Googleplay music now comes with a new family plan which cost $14.99 which can consist of 6 people on one shared account instead of $9.99 for each.

• Google photos also updated and now supports Chromecast which will help show photos anywhere to anyone you like, it also gives options similar to iPhoto and Facebook like labels for photos and making photos private. The album can be shared with others and they can also add photos to it and as soon as they add a photo you will be notified.
