To protect its brand reputation Amazon has sued more than 1114 reviewers for posting fake reviews on site. According to Amazon these reviewers post fake reviews without even knowing about it and hence hurting its brand reputation. Amazon also targeted websites like fiverr.com which provide money for posting reviews all around the web world and just for Rs.330 (5$) these reviewer post false, misleading and unauthenticated  reviews of products or about brand's services.

Amazon also has a list of those reviewers with their fiverr account's details & waiting for court orders before finding & identifying the person behind the company as its online ID is hidden. Amazon has taken many other sites to court for providing fake reviews earlier this year.

Although amazon has requested fiverr to remove these kind of listing and the attempt was successful but it doesn't affect any online buyer/purcher of the fake reviews.
