Make In India: Xioami's First Made In India Device

Touted as Chinese Apple, xioami has now began manufacturing their products in India. Xioami has tied up with Foxxconn (after Sony did last week) has now launched their first made in India dubbed as Redmi 2 prime the device was leaked by amazon last week, the phone is a successor of highly popular Redmi2 and being a successor the specifications are bumped up like the phone now comes with 2GB ram and 16GB internal storage other specifications are same as Redmi2.

Xioami's global VP Hugo Barra stated that 'The partnership with foxxconn will help us fullfill the demand of Indian market as we will make our all available in india smartphones here in Andra Pradesh'. The company is currently assembling the products by importing parts from China but will produce locally.

 The step taken by big manufacturers to produce goods in India will attract local companies to make their products locally rather than importing from China and other countries and will give boost to Narendra Modi's initiative Make In India.
