Last month we saw leaks coming out for Samsung's new warrior to compete in the mid range market & we are here to show you what this new device packs in and does it have what it takes to put Samsung upfront in the competition again ! let's see.

Specifications

Samsung Galaxy A8 comes with a FHD 5.7 inch super AMOLED screen, a 64bit  qualcomm snapdragon 615 octa-core processor backed with 2Gb ram that also seen in under 10k bracket and a Exynos octa core processor for Indian variant, 32Gb on board storage with 128Gb expansion slot. It also carry's  dual sim functionality with 4G LTE connectivity, a 16MP rear-facing camera, 5mp front for selfie and video chatting, all this backed with a 3050mAh battery which looks a little less for this big AMOLED screen. Samsung gives latest lollipop version 5.1 a touchwiz flavour and company also added a fingerprint scanner which is also seen on S6 earlier. The device is the thinnest of all phones launched by Samsung till date, it measures 5.9mm thin and weights 151g.

Design

A8 looks like a top of the line phone with a metel uni-body and a sort of border less big display, the phone feels somewhat of a hybrid between inspired from Last year's A7 and A6. Bottom of the phone having a microphone hole, 3.5mm jack and USB port. The front top have a front camera lens on left and sensors on right side opposite to earlier devices but the phone strangely misses out a LED notification light, below the screen you will find  a fingerprint scanner which also acts as a home button, navigation keys lights up when the are touched. Left side has volume keys and Sim trays on bottom sides, right side is clean with only a power button. The sides are curved with no sharp edges. On the Back a 16MP camera accompanied by a single LED flash on the left and a single speaker vent on the right side of the camera module, samsung logo is on the bottom along with some certification.

The phone looks good with thin bezels and aluminum body but the main problem lies underneath the body, given specs are decent but for the price it is too weak. Same specs are present with the phones that comes in under 10k, with the likes of micromax Yureka, lenove A7000 and Yureka plus which is a FHD phone just like lenovo's new offering K3 note.

Its interesting to see what smartphone users prefers when Samsung launches A8, Brand value or the specifications & choose those less popular brands.
